TUESDAY, 1 AUGUST: Join the Israel study group to learn and discover more about Israel’s history, biblical truths relevant to today and Hebrew words and names. FRIDAY, 4 AUGUST: The next meeting of the Probus Amanzimtoti social club takes place at 9.30am for 10am in the beautiful and tranquil surrounds of Umbogavango Nature Reserve, situated in Umbogintwini. For the bring-and-braai after the meeting, remember to take your own cups, meat, salads and preferred refreshments. Interested visitors may call Sharon-Ann Theron during office hours on 083-312-5360 for more information. New members and visitors are requested to check their names appear on the gate security list, as access through the gate is restricted to the names on this list.

 

SATURDAY, 26 AUGUST: A women’s function will host the Jes Foord Foundation in a talk entitled ‘Restoring life after rape’ at 10am at the Tabor Hall in Middleton Road, Winklespruit. Contact Renè on 072-494-0795 Cost is R100 per person. Funds are for the Reformed church.

 

SUNDAY, 30 JULY: Sanctuary of the Great White Light hosts its body, mind and soul fair at Amanzimtoti Civic Centre’s supper room from 10am until 4pm. This day filled with an array of wonderful things for one and all to delight in. Includes stalls, readers and more. For more information, call Gayle on 083-654-5261.

 

SATURDAY, 5 AUGUST: Jabulani senior citizens’ annual fête from 9am to 2pm at Amanzimtoti Sports Centre where visitors can enjoy tombola, music by DJ Fluffy, delicious food on sale, dance-a-thon, pony rides, the Warner Beach Prep school choir, a coffee cafe, boerewors rolls, pancakes, jams, bric-a-brac, crafts, books and more. Entry is free.

 

VISIT the Toti Bird Park, one of Amanzimtoti’s local treasures, on any Wednesday mornings from 9.30am and enjoy a delicious tea with cream scones or muffins.

Note that this facility will not be available on Woman’s Day (Wednesday, 9 August).
