Support Poinsettia Park’s annual fete

Since this year’s theme is ‘movies’, the public has a chance to meet movie characters from the hit movies ‘Frozen’ and ‘Minions’, and super heroes.

Clear your diary  and prepare for a funfilled day at Poinsettia Park’s annual fete on Saturday, 1 July.

The fete will be held from 8am until 2pm.

“We have incorporated arts and craft stalls with our regular stalls,” said Poinsettia Park manager of community services, Wendy Lloyd.

Anyone interested in having a stall at the fete can call Martin Erasmus on 079-605-1049 or email martin@art-me-africa.com.

As this year’s theme is ‘movies’, the public has a chance to meet movie characters from the hit movies ‘Frozen’ and ‘Minions’, and super heroes. “Elsa, Anna, Olaf and a Minion will visit at about 10am to meet the children,” said Wendy.

Further entertainment includes line dancing from the Toti Hillbillies, who will put on a number of shows during the morning until 1pm, an exercise with ribbons demonstration, and vocalists Wanine and Fiona.

Line dancers, the Toti Hillbillies, have been hard at work to wow visitors at the Poinsettia Park fete on Saturday, 1 July.

“Come and join us for something delicious to eat. There will be toasted sandwiches, boerewors and bacon rolls, curry and rice and pancakes. Don’t forget to buy some delicious homemade ginger beer, marmalades and baked goods.”

Nedbank sales team leader, Nompumelelo Zungu and sales consultant, Grace Murray with Poinsettia Park fete steering committee members, Martin Erasmus and Wendy Lloyd. Nedbank has many loyal clients at Poinsettia Park, so they have come on board with a sponsorship of R5,000 to assist the home with its annual fete on Saturday, 1 July.

Residents have worked hard to produce beautiful handmade goods for sale and many other items for example, jewellery, books, puzzles, glassware and toys. There will also be a stall with tools and other miscellaneous items for men.

The public can also enjoy a visit to the tea garden, where delicious treats will be on offer.
