The Domino Foundation can assist with your company’s B-BBEE scorecard.

The Domino Foundation enjoyed a successful 2016 and is rearing to go this year.

“The Domino Foundation and KCI sandwich kitchen did so well last year – in just eight months we made and supplied 10,947 sandwiches,” said the feeding co-ordinator for Amanzimtoti, Cheryl Dann.

“We feed a number of schools in the Umbogintwini, Toti and Illovo Township areas. Children from these schools face challenging circumstances at home and most of the time have no food for school.

These schools include Amanzimtoti High School, Doonheights Primary School, Siyabonga Secondary School (Lovu Township), Tholulwazi Creche and Day Care (sandwiches and porridge), Nomthandazo Day Care (porridge) and Ouma Maries (porridge).

KusaKusa Primary School (Ezimbokindweni) and Young Stars (Lovu Township) will be added to the list at the end of February.

We helped three creches, in conjunction with JAM SA, in providing porridge for 250 pre-school children and we supplied 120 relief hampers to families who found themselves in a financial crisis.

We are very excited about this year, as we have been approached by more schools and creches to help vulnerable children.

Our heart is to enhance learning through meeting the children’s physical need for health and balanced nutrition and if we can make a difference in even one child's life, then it is worthwhile.”

The foundation is looking forward to a really busy year and it is rearing to go out and feed hungry little ones.

If anyone wants to donate food stuffs in the way of non-perishable items, peanut butter and mayonnaise, the foundation will appreciate it.

“We also happy to take on new volunteers to make sandwiches and either deliver or collect on our behalf,” said Cheryl.

“The Toti community has been amazing so far and it's wonderful to be part of such generous people.”
