Dance for Bobbi Bear’s benefit

The fundraiser features an evening of 'langarm sokkie' and fun for the whole family.

Back by popular demand, the Toti public is invited to a ‘Mandjie Dans’ to raise much-needed funds for Operation Bobbi Bear.

“So many people have contacted Bobbi Bear to have one of these dances after the success of one ATKV Natalia held for us on 3 September,” said Eureka Olivier of Bobbi Bear.

“It is the first one we will be hosting but we are positive the Toti community will support us. It’s fun for both English and Afrikaans families and the whole family can enjoy an evening together.”

The fundraiser features an evening of ‘langarm sokkie’ and fun for the whole family with music provided by Dynamic Sound Services, featuring DJ Miklus, at Illovo Africa Lodge on Saturday, 22 October from 6.30pm to 10.30pm.

The cost is R80 per adult and children under the age of 15 get in for free.

“Bring your own food and drinks, the children, oupa and ouma,” said Eureka. “We have the most amazing music by Michael Patrick. Limited tickets are for sale. Come and dance and in so doing, your ticket will help a child. We need to urgently raise funds for our ‘peak season’ of rape and abuse on children, coming up now over the festive season when we are inundated with cases.”
