FRIDAY, 27 MAY: The next Probus Amanzimtoti Social Club monthly meeting takes place at 9.30am for 10am in Umbogavango Nature Reserve.

For the bring-and-braai after the meeting, members and visitors are asked to take their own cups, meat, salads and refreshments.

SATURDAY, 28 MAY: KZN Quilters Guild quilt show and open day from 9am to noon at Durban Girls High School, Glenwood, Corner of Lena Arendse (ex-Manning) and Penzance roads. Enjoy quilt show, shops, quilting demonstrations,teas. Visitors pay R40. Call Lyn on 083-463-7729.

SATURDAY, 28 MAY: 69rs Motorcycle Club hosts its annual Bible run from 2pm to late at the Dutch Club, 111 Bluff Road. Cost is R50 which includes a cloth badge. Biker games and fun for the whole family, prizes and trophies for biggest club, best bikes and game champions. Prize-giving will be held at 6pm. There will be a potjie competition hosted by Macs which costs R100 per team of four people. For details about the potjie, call Riaan on 084-588-5153. SATURDAY, 28 MAY: Lions Club of Kingsburgh hosts a car boot sale at Winklespruit Bowling Club, 50 Gus Brown Avenue, Warner Beach, starting at 7.30am to raise funds for its range of projects in the community. Go along and browse through clothes, household items, toys, pickles and more. The bowling club will serve wors rolls and refreshments. Call Sandy on 082-466-6480 about stall bookings.

SATURDAY, 4 JUNE: Well known actor and entertainer, Peter Court performs at St Mary’s Church Hall at 3.30pm. The theme is conservation, especially water, and a performance using puppets and dialogue will a very important message across to the public. The performance is for all ages and is greatly entertaining. Tickets are R50 from Jenny Stone. Call her on 031-903-7198. Tickets are limited and entry is by ticket only. Bring along an afternoon picnic and enjoy a great family afternoon.
