Swiss dancers to grace Gathering

The Lifestyle Expo returns for its third year, incorporated into the Highland Gathering.

This year’s 52nd annual Highland Gathering at Hutchison Park fields on 30 April promises to be another success, as food, flea market and genuine homemade crafts stalls are being booked at an alarming rate.

The Lifestyle Expo returns for its third year, incorporated into the Highland Gathering hosted by Amanzimtoti Lions, and organised by Big Events 365.

The expo will display an impressive array of products and services to enhance visitors’ lifestyles, all in one easy-access vicinity.

The expo adds value to the already successful Highland Gathering, which has been held annually in Amanzimtoti since 1963.

The expo offers affordable exhibition space and is the ideal marketing opportunity for any business with the option to exhibit in either open air space or under a marquee. Businesses can choose to exhibit in one of the following categories: House and garden; outdoor and leisure; or health and beauty. “This action-packed, one-day event provides an incredible platform for exhibitors to interact with the buying audience face-to-face and is an excellent promotional opportunity no business can afford to miss,” said Monique, Big Events 365.

Visitors will be able to find everything at the Highland Gathering, from beauty products, reputable travel agents, furniture, security companies, home made crafts, a variety of foods or even the ultimate luxury vehicle, not forgetting the excitement of the pipers and dancers. Also featured will be a fenced-in children’s action zone, demo arena and food court, as well as other exciting features.

“Unfortunately the international judges will not be on the cards for this year as planned, but it looks promising for next year,” said Amanzimtoti Lions president, Carol Botha.

“The good news is that there will be some Swiss dancers arriving for our national dance competition, so be sure to pop into the dance tent to look at their outstanding costumes and unique dancing styles. We will advertise the timetable in a later issue of the Sun.

ER24 and ET Rapid Response have come on board as our safety and emergency response services. To promote our local businesses, our overall general security will be run by the Community Crime Prevention Organisation (CCPO).”

Entrance to the Highland Gathering is R40 per adult, R20 for pensioners and students, and R10 for children. Children under six pay no cover charge.
