Visit SA’s number one sport and lifestyle festival

Tickets are available from Computicket.

Only one hour from Durban and 15 minutes from Pietermaritzburg, the Pecanwood Oktoberfest, taking place on 10 and October in the KZN midlands, is the perfect ‘get out of the city’ event.

With over 6,000 people last year, the Pecanwood Oktoberfest was voted SA’s number one sport and lifestyle festival and KZN’s biggest beer fest.

With the wide variety of beer to taste, along with other beverages and food pairing to suit any pallet, it also features SA’s biggest bands performing live.

Add an array of different aspects and activities, including a large variety of extreme and popular sports, such as a 20km and 40km mountain bike challenge, a 4×4 technical challenge, 7km and 14km trail run, the WFO regional enduro round 5 and fun ride and there’s entertainment for all types of people.

This is why the festival is attended by people from almost every province in the country.
The artists featuring this year are Monark, The Kiffness, Lonehill Estate, Majozi, Veranda Panda, The Kickstands, Ryan Stylz and Toti band Gus Brown.

Other adult activities include beer pong, a gladiator challenge, slip and slide, mechanical bull, a paintball shooting range and much more.

Your ticket into the festival includes camping. If you are not keen to camp, the Protea Hotel has partnered with the festival, making a room rate start from R317 per person. If you want to stay on site, Andy’s tent motel is available. For more information, visit www.oktoberfestkzn.co.za.
