Boogie for charity

All proceeds go to charity.

Put on your dancing shoes and boogie for good this weekend when the Army Saints host a charity event in conjunction with Jinx Photography and Katalyst Events at Darlene’s Pub and Grill in Winklespruit.

“We decided to do this event as it is mine and the founder of Army Saints, Shaun Callaghan’s birthday and instead of celebrating our own birthdays separately with just our friends, we have decided to forego the presents and host an event where other charities can benefit from it,” said Janine Shepard.

“If people want to bring something extra, we will have a collection bin at the door where they can drop off either animal food or animal goodies, unwanted clothes, unwanted toys or some non-perishable food items like maize meal, packets of soup or tins of food.

All proceeds go to charity. Cost is R50 at the door.

The Army Saints will plant trees at Toti river by the civic centre on Saturday, 6 September from 10am.

“The public is welcome to join us. If they want to plant an indigenous tree, they can go to Illovo Nursery and get one from Brendon Babich. If they mention the name Army Saints to Brendon, they get a discount,” said Janine.
