Diamond Bozas: Life and Work

Appreciate the talent of Zululand artists Diamond Bozas at the Tatham Art Gallery in Chief Albert Luthuli (Commercial) Road, opposite City Hall from Saturday, 11 January.

The wide selection of art works recognises major genres in Diamond’s work: landscape, still-life and portraiture. In all three, Diamond focuses on everyday sights like the landscape that surrounds him, objects that he has encountered and people in his life. The exhibition is accompanied by a fully illustrated catalogue, based on audio interviews and Diamond’s writings about his work.

In the last 13 years, Diamond has focussed exclusively on landscape. Extensive vistas, large natural forms and man-made structures express a desire for a more integrated coexistence between man and nature.

The exhibition is only showing until Wednesday, 15 January so make sure you don’t miss it.
