* HEADMASTERS at schools in Amanzimtoti have dismissed reports that satanism is rife at local schools as being completely without foundation.
Rumours have been circulating in the community about devil worship and macabre rituals being practised by high school children and a Sunday newspaper reported last weekend that there was a ‘high concentration of all forms of devil worship at schools in Amanzimtoti’.

* SEVEN deaths and two injuries have been reported in sporadic incidents of ‘public violence’ which occurred in KwaMakutha during the long weekend. Incidents of stone throwing, attacks on individual houses and arson were reported among groups of blacks, although to date no arrests have been made.
The reason for fighting has been attributed to many residents being at home during the long weekend.

* AN UNHAPPY Toti resident has issued a warning to fellow meat-eaters. Apparently it is possible to buy measled carcasses at rock bottom rates from abattoirs, and sell the meat off as ‘Super A’ beef, while drastically undercutting the reputable butchers.

* CAPTAIN Phiilip Holtzhuizen Chief of ploice in Toti says black youngsters who beg on the streets of Toti should be ignored.
Captain Holtzhuizen was reacting to an article in last week’s SUN in which it was stated that the youths were begging for money so that they can buy glue for sniffing.

* ITS going to be quite an adjustment says retired blood donor William Walden for donating blood every two months has become a way of life .
For 42 years William has given of himself five times a year to chalk up a fantastic 194 donations of blood. Having moved to Winklespruit when he retired from the railways three years ago, William has faithfully attended the evening clinics at Warner Beach.
