The competition included a 19km and 44km MTB trail, as well as a 6km fun ride. There was also a 12km and 19km trail run for runners. Barry Walker, who is the chairman of the Amanzimtoti Cycle Club, said the 44km route was challenging but exciting.

“As the sun graced the morning sky, riders set out to conquer the route, which was expertly crafted to accommodate this event. It was an enthralling journey for both seasoned riders and newcomers to the sport. There was something for everyone to enjoy,” said Walker.

Toti rider, Byron Mercer, displayed skill and determination, securing third place in the 19km MTB ride.
