The club’s public relations officer, Kerry Kyle, said lifesaving is an invaluable way to teach the skills needed to navigate the ocean and save lives while keeping fit and forming lifelong friendships.

Warnadoone nipper Peyton Taylor sprints across the beach.

“Competitive teams are encouraged to take part in various events as a way of engaging with and competing against like-minded athletes from across the province and country,” she said.

Kyle said they had a wonderful turnout on the day. “It was great seeing so many new faces and, of course, welcoming back our nippers from previous seasons. We are so grateful to everyone who made the day a success, and we expect to have an exciting season ahead,” she said.

Mason Chard thoroughly enjoys the Warnadoone Nippers Open Day.
