Toti United Football Club’s results show progress

The club's boys and girls have scored some good results, with teams working their way to the top of the log.

THE soccer season is in full swing, and Toti United Juniors Football Club’s girls and boys have obtained some good results over the last two weekends.

The club’s chairperson, Zenzo Ncube, said the club is seeing a lot of progress and good results, which is promising for the club. This is the second or third game for most of the club’s teams since season kick-off.

“The girls have been dominating their league and are currently top of the log standings. On Saturday, May 6, they won 7-0 against Linfield B, and on Sunday, May 14, they won 10-2 against Sporting Durban. They are showing tremendous progress, especially with their technical abilities and tactics,” he said.

The boy’s teams have also been doing well, securing a mixed bag of results. “The various age groups have shown a lot of progress, even with the losses. The games are all fairly contested, and losses are only by a small margin,” added Ncube.

The U13s, who are second on the log, drew 1-1 against Yellowwood Park on May 7 and won 2-0 against Escombe on May 14. The U8s won 4-0 against Villa Park, U12A won 8-0 against Virginia, the U12B lost 3-1 against Newlands United, U7s lost 2-3 against Virginia H and the U17s drew 1-1 against Forest Hills H.

All teams, except the U15s, are playing away this weekend at the Durban Central Football Association’s much-anticipated 5-a-side tournament which sees about 170 teams going head-to-head.
