Ringball is a traditional, South African, non-contact, fast-playing sport that can be played by both male and female teams of all ages. Some of its elements are similar to netball and korfball. There is a school league for children of school-going age, whether they go to a conventional school or are home-schooled. There is also an adult league that is divided into different age categories.

Vicki Schoeman, who is involved in KwaZulu-Natal Schools Ringball Marketing and Development, says an open day will be held in Amanzimtoti, at Hutchison Park, on February 4, 2023.

“Everyone is invited to this open day. Bring your friends, family, colleagues and your neighbours,” says Schoeman.

At the recently held Ringball Schools Association Awards 2022, Schoeman was named Secretary of the Year, and Amanda Gouws, who is KwaZulu-Natal Schools Ringball chairperson, was named Tournament Manager of the Year.
