On Saturday, March 26, The Pineapple Express Ultra Trail Run was held in Port Shepstone and others made their way to Richards Bay to take part in the Hippo Marathon. Also on the same day, Synergy Café, Arbour Crossing, hosted a 32km race that was organised by Beloved Long Runs KZN.

ACC secretary, Jodine Momberg, said a number of local businesses participated by providing water stations along the route.

“Two of our members achieved a new milestone of running the longest distance in a training run. Keegan Lanyon ran 28km and Lauren Canderle ran 32km. Both members want to take part in the Comrades Marathon in the future and this running event took them one step closer to achieving that goal,” said Jodine.
