Stella Park duo wins Port Natal mixed pairs at Amanzimtoti Bowling Club

It was a mixed bag of results for ABC in the third round of the men’s inter-club league on Saturday, 24 April, with two wins and two losses.

Congratulations to the Stella Park team of John Connellan and Glenda Matthews on winning the Port Natal mixed pairs hosted by Amanzimtoti Bowling Club (ABC) on Sunday, 25 April.

They beat Graham Schouten and Margaret Migdoll from Parkhill to take the district trophy.

It was a mixed bag of results for ABC in the third round of the men’s inter-club league on Saturday, 24 April, with two wins and two losses.

Toti A side lost 5 – 12 at home to Stella Park A; the B side played away and won 12 – 5 against Durban A; Toti C won 10.5 – 1.5 at home against Stella Park C and the D side lost to Berea B 3.5 – 8.5 away.

Good bowling to all of them in the next round on Saturday, 1 May.

The winners of this month’s Victory Kwik Spar women’s trips were Jeanne Alexander, Delysia Mitchley and Jane Coetzee. Runners-up were Julie Sutherland, Marion Crouch and Cathy Badenhorst; and Susan Nel, Leonie Mills and Denise Bingham won the second session prize.

Alan Hawkins’ long-standing sponsorship of this competition is appreciated.

At TGIF, the winner of the 100 board was Jackie Holdrick. Shane Wilkinson was not present to win the attendance draw, so the prize will be R150 next week.

Mike Roberts on behalf of his father, Robbie Roberts was unable to find the right key to open the key draw box, so that jackpot will go up to R2 710 with 34 keys to draw from.

Reminders for next week are for big chicks on Sunday, 2 May, and burgers and bowls on Thursday, 6 May at 5.30pm for 6pm start. Birthday wishes go to Dallas Davis and Jenny Rautenbach.
