Victory for men’s team at Amanzimtoti Bowling Club
Birthday greeting for the week go out to Dot Liebetrau, Adrienne Robbins, Lofty van Tonder, Barry Buckland and Shaun Fagan.
Last week’s heavy rain meant a quiet weekend at Amanzimtoti Bowling Club resulting in the Men’s and Women’s Turkey Days being rescheduled for Sunday, 13 December, at 9am.
The only game played last week was the Men’s Monthly Trips where the winners were Ian Crouch, Lofty van Tonder and Phil Whitton. Runners-up were Glen Scorgie, Ian Mills and Dave McMillan; and Vish Studinski, Fred Rautenbach and Fred Welch took second session.
At TGIF the winner of the 100 board was John Mitchley and Heather Cooper was present and able to claim the attendance draw prize, so it will go back to R100 next week. Mike Roberts’ name came out for a second week in the members’ key draw, but sadly that was where his luck ended and he was not able to find the right key.
There are now only 14 keys left and the jackpot will now rise to its maximum of R10 000. If it is not won on Friday, 11 December, it will be a must win on 18 December – a nice Christmas present for someone.
