Toti United soccer season on hold

All soccer activities (practices, friendly games, attendance to tournaments, etc) is suspended.

Toti United Football Club has decided to suspend all friendly games, soccer training and league matches until further notice.  This comes after the increase in COVID-19 cases and statements released by the government and the country’s football structures.

Public relations officer of the club, Senele Goba said, “We communicate in line with the president’s address to the nation, declaring COVID-19 outbreak a national disaster in South Africa. In his address he has instructed, limit contact between people, gathering of 100 people is prohibited and schools are to be closed from 18 March, until after Easter weekend. These limitations directly affect our operation as a football club.”

“We will, therefore, with immediate effect, suspend all soccer activities (practices, friendly games, attendance to tournaments, etc) until further notice. We will keep communicating with the group chats if there are further or new developments. The livelihood and health of all our members and connected persons is our highest priority. We encourage that our players remain physically active during this time as this not only keeps you fit but may also keep the body strong to fight against health threats. We thank you for your cooperation in this regard and hope for united action in fighting this battle,” she added.
