Toti residents were excited to enjoy a morning filled with sunshine, sport and music when a roll and kick game of Thola was played on Saturday, 21 September, at the Amanzimtoti Sports Ground.
The sport is gaining a progressive movement in both participation and promotion in the province. Thola is listed under the KZNSC (KwaZulu Natal Sports Confederation) membership as one of the 57 recognized sports in the country. Several teams participated in the exciting tournament.

The game is much like a mixture of both cricket and soccer and was created in 2010. The morning match saw the Umbumbulu Superstars take on the Zululand team, Abaqulusi who claimed a 55 point win over the Umbumbulu team who gained 35 points. The day consisted of fun and entertainment for the whole family.
