Toti racer celebrates victory

Spectators were kept on their feet, watching the battle for first place between the current top three riders.

Amanzimtoti racer, Anja Conci celebrated a win and two second places in round three of the Superbike Magazine Short Circuit Series, which was raced in Vereeniging at the weekend.

Anja had an early and very cold start to the day as she set of for qualifying on Saturday. Struggling for grip on the cold tar, she played it cool and didn’t push too hard and risk a crash early in the weekend. As qualifying progressed she got more comfortable on her bike and to grip with the track and qualified second for race one.

Riders in the Honda CBR250 Ladies Cup Championship grew in confidence when the sun finally came out and warmed up the track ready for the first race of the day. Anja started off strong and finished in a solid second place. Spectators were kept on their feet, watching the battle for first place between the current top three riders, Nicole van Aswegen, Zoe Bosch, and Toti’s own speedster.

Race two ran just as exciting as the first, as the battle that was left unfinished in race one continued. She managed to hold off Zoe and cling to Nicole to finish right on her tail in second.
