Athlone Park karate champ has the winning moves

Treyden achieved his KZN colours and represented the province at Karate South Africa events.

Treyden Moodley, a grade 7 pupil at Athlone Park Primary pupil, who is part of Skisa Isipingo, received accolades for his KZN karate participation recently.

He was presented with a merit award for outstanding achievement in Shotokan karate at an awards function held by Skisa – Shotokan Karate International South Africa.
Subsequent to that award, he was also presented with a WKF Karate award by Karate South Africa at Blue Lagoon Conference Centre on Saturday, 6 October.

Treyden achieved his KZN colours and represented the province at Karate South Africa events this year. He also represented KZN Karate and the province with distinction at a recent Karate South Africa (KSA) National Championship, and finished second at an eThekwini regional championship this year.

He also won a silver medal at a KZN provincial championship and went on to represent the province at a Karate South Africa all styles tournament, finishing in the top 10 in SA in his division (12 years to 13 years) at this tournament.
