Tee off at fundraiser golf day

Fund raised at the golf day will be used for much-needed club improvements.

Amanzimtoti Cricket Club (ACC) has been bowled over by the fantastic support it has received from local golfers for its upcoming fundraiser golf day this Friday, 17 August.

All of the fourballs have been booked and the club thanks everyone who has supported its fundraising efforts with fourballs, prizes and sponsorships. There are still tees and greens available to sponsor at a cost of R500 each.

Sponsors can put up flags and gazebo to hand out goodies on the day to brand their company or the club can do that for you. If anyone would like to donate or sponsor prizes, big or small, email Alister at allsprop@gmail.com or Carol at carolcsmith44@gmail.com.

“As we go into the new season in the Premier League we are looking forward to a great season ahead and with the sponsorship of many coming on board, we are sure it will be a bumper season,” said ACC media manager, Jamie Manning.

“This golf day is just one way we can raise funds for much-needed club improvements, such as redoing our pitches, and install new lights for the cricket nets, so that we can extend our practise times and help towards the development women’s team which we will be fielding for the first time this season.”

The club is selling advertising boards at a cost of R2,600 per year and these boards will be placed on the club wall at Amanzimtoti Sports Centre. Local companies can also opt to sponsor a team member, which will help towards their annual subs. To purchase a board or sponsor a player, email Carol.
