Amanzimtoti gymnasts excel at zonal qualifier

All these gymnasts have qualified to compete at the zone festival competition in Johannesburg.

Amanzimtoti gymnasts scored high at the KZN zone qualifier in Durban on Saturday, 26 May.

The following Fusion Rhythmic gymnasts placed in the top three and received gold medals based on their scores: Zimkhitha Venter, level one U8 – first overall; Ashraya Hooblaul, level one U10 – first overall; Talitha Venter, level one U11 – second overall; Mieke Bester, level two U9 – first overall and highest score in level two; Lexie Marsburg, level two U10 – first overall; Danielle Chandler, level three U10 – third overall; Erin McCalgan, level three U11 – second overall; Silke Bester, level three O11 – first overall and tied highest score in level three; Amy Dickin, level three O11 – second overall.

Congrats to these gymnasts who received participation medals based on their scores:
Gold, level one – Kayli Janse van Rensburg, Leah Gounden, Amadea White, Karmie Labuschagne; gold, level two – Isabella Carr; gold, level three – Leah Rubino, Emma Frank; silver, level one – Hayley Verreyne, Maddison van Schalkwyk, Samantha Takundwa, Emma-Ann Newman, Tyler Rossouw; silver level two – Tanneth Dawson.

“All these gymnasts have qualified to compete at the zone festival competition in Johannesburg on 22 June and 23 June and they have been awarded KZN Union Colours,” said club leader, Jess Odendaal.
