Ramblers hikers to head out west this weekend
The hike goes down to the valley below with a small stream crossing.
DURBAN Ramblers Hiking Club takes on the Hillcrest Keg hike on Saturday, 24 February.

This hike of about 10km is graded two.
The hike goes down to the valley below and includes a small stream crossing. It will take hikers through some wooded areas, sugar cane and open areas. Join in for drinks afterwards at the Keg. Meet at 1.45pm at the Keg in Oxford Centre (old Heritage Market) in Hillcrest.
On Sunday, 25 February hikers will enjoy the Kloof Ramble with stunning views of the gorge. Call hike leader Jenny Rooks on 084-952-0622.
This 16km hike is graded two. (This rescheduled hike was originally to have taken place on 4 February.
It is an easy, scenic walk through Kloof, incorporating Memorial Park which offers stunning views of the gorge from Uve Road. This will be a morning walk with two snack stops. Hikers are welcome to enjoy refreshments at Tina’s after the hike.
