All Sapphire Coast pool league’s 2017 prize winners

Women trails for SA's 2018 will be held on 3 February at Oceans Pub and Grill starting 10am.

SAPPHIRE Coast Eight Ball pool league held its AGM and 2017 prize-giving on Saturday, 20 January.

Great news for 2018 is that Sapphire Coast was granted province status on its own to represent the Pool South Africa Eight Ball nationals as KZN Sapphire Coast Eight Ball Pool Federation.

The committee for 2018 are chairman Julie Brown; vice chairman Dale o’Reilly; secretary Charlene Roth; treasurer Yolande van der Westhuizen; PRO Terrence Chetty; development officer Ivan Naidoo; match secretary Adina Swanepoel.

League registration will close on Saturday, 10 February for players and clubs so make sure to join in time.

Women trials for SA’s 2018 will be held on 3 February at Oceans Pub and Grill starting 10am. The senior and masters trials date and time can be confirmed with Dale O’Reilly and Terrance Chetty.

Among the 2017 prize winners are the three teams that placed top of the league for 2017: First Scottburgh Vikings (Dale O’ Reilly, Jadin Nobin, Castello Naidoo and Mervin Donnelly); second Reef B (Sasshin and Pravi Gangan, David Chinna and Greg Naidoo); third Kings A (Adina Swanepoel. Julie Brown, Rodney Brown and Buks Swanepoel).

Top three women in the league: First Megan Brett, second Adina Swanepoel, third Julie Brown.

Women knock-out winner Megan Brett and runner-up Veronica Quail.

Top three men in the league: First Castello Naidoo, second Greg Naidoo, third Krivashan Pillay.

Men’s knock-out winner Greg Naidoo and runner-up Krivashan Pillay.

Doubles champions Castello Naidoo and Jadin Nobin; runner-ups Nishen Singh and Krivashan Pillay.
