Put your bat in for KZNCU cricket coaching course

Candidates will be required to write an orientation test before they start the course.

The KZN Cricket Union offers an level one coaching course from 6 to 9 February at Sahara Stadium Kingsmead.

Candidates must be 18-years-or-older and need to take along their ID book, as well as a letter from their school or cricket club approving the candidate for a coaching course.

Candidates must possess a basic understanding of cricket and will be required to write an orientation test before they start the course. This is to ensure they know the basics about cricket, as course attendees need to achieve 80% in order to do level one. Those who fail the test will have to leave the course.

The course covers hard and soft-ball cricket. The cost is R250, which includes refreshments. A proof of payment with the reference ‘L1’ and the candidate’s name must be sent before Wednesday, 31 January.

Candidates must take along pen and paper and a cricket bat. Wear shorts, a T-shirt, non-markable takkies or a sports tracksuit. The first day will take place from 8.30am to 4pm where they will receive the schedule for the remaining three days. The course is limited to 15 people.
