THE Winklespruit Bowling Club committee expresses its sincere appreciation to the members who assisted in the green maintenance.

Members like these make it possible for everyone to enjoy their game of bowls.

The green is progressing well and should not be out of action for too long.

The team in which Eddie and Lou Lou played in the recent Doug Watson tournament in Margate, did quite well considering that the opposition was of a high standard.

The well attended Friday evening meal was very successful. Everyone enjoyed the delicious meal and pudding prepared by Trish Farmer and Wilma Richter. Their preparation and sacrifice of their time is really appreciated. The Friday evening attendance draw winner was Lou Lou Bingham. As she was not present it will be a carry-over. There was no winner for the wheel of fortune.

Diarise the following dates: The green will hopefully re-open at about the end of November after the annual green maintenance. While the green is closed, the club is not. The Friday evening meals and attendance draw will still carry on over this period.

The club wishes Jimmy Ronald and Innocent Ndlovu a happy birthday this week. May they have a blessed year ahead.

Prayers and thoughts are with members who are not well.
