Mike, Di and Trish win Winkle BC mixed trips

The Friday evening meal was well attended and all enjoyed the delicious meal and the dessert prepared by Sheila and John Court.

OVERALL winners of the Eagle Canyon Spur mixed trips played on Saturday were Mike and Di Kruger and Trish Farmer. Second session winners were Brian Cox, Cathy du Plooy and George Cormack.

The braai after the game was well attended even though the rain put in an appearance.

Brian Farmer and Elmarie Young were victors over Eddie and Lou Lou Bingham in the second leg of the nominated mixed pairs. Freddy Hetterscheidt and Hazel Willis were victoroius over John Scott and Lynn Fitzsimmons in the first leg of the nominated mixed pairs. Brian Farmer and Elmarie beat Alan Raubenheimer and Annalie Pienaar in the second leg of the nominated mixed 2-4-2. Mike and Di Kruger beat Alan Raubenheimer and Annalie Pienaar in the first leg of the nominated mixed pairs.

The Friday evening meal was well attended and all enjoyed the delicious meal and the dessert prepared by Sheila and John Court. The club appreciates their efforts and thanks them. There will another Friday evening meal this week so put your names on the list on the noticeboard or let Trish know before Friday if you are attending, for catering reasons. Friday evening’s attendance draw was won by Estelle van der Merwe. Due to her not being present, it is a carry-over. Joyce Mackrory won the attendance draw.

Diarise the following dates: The monthly women’s Winkle trips will be played on Thursday, 5 October at 8.30am for 9am. Check the competition noticeboard and complete the outstanding competitions before the end of September.

Social bowls will be played on Wednesday and Friday afternoons at 1.30pm for 2pm.

Piet du Toit is wished a happy birthday this week. May he have a blessed year ahead.
