Heat saps midweek tennis women in final league encounter

AMANZIMTOTI Tennis Club’s midweek women travelled to Kloof for their final match last Wednesday.

The match was played in tremendous heat and unfortunately the team was beaten 1–5.

The midweek league is now complete. Final results will be posted on the club noticeboard as soon as they are received from ETA. Sunday’s men’s doubles match had to be postponed due to the weather. This match will be re-scheduled and the team players duly notified.

Although the weather was threatening on Saturday afternoon, the club had have four courts occupied for most of the afternoon, with some good social tennis played. Social tennis continues on Wednesdays, Friday mornings and Saturday afternoons.

The development clinic on Saturday mornings from 9am to 10am will continue for the rest of the school term. Take your children down to the club for some free coaching. Racquets are available and children must wear suitable shoes.
