Toti riders all over Illovo Eston MTB race podium
Despite the 60km marathon route being “hard work” for the first 20km, Mambas still managed to stand high on the podium.
THE Illovo Eston MTB race again proved to be among the most prestigious MTB events in Natal, attracting a huge turnout on Sunday, 6 August.
The race is always well supported by Amanzimtoti Cycle Club as it’s a great family outing with a distance for all levels of fitness.
Despite the 60km marathon route being hard work for the first 20km, Mambas still managed to stand high on the podium. Brennan Anderson came fourth overall and third in his age category. Hendrik Bester won the vets category. Bryan Powell and Cindy Theunissen also managed podium finishes and Shelley Higgo rode exceptionally well by being the first woman to finish in the 40km. Pickfords, one of the club’s main sponsor, helped by providing much-needed reliable transport.
