Andre, Brian and Norma victorious again

Members playing against the UK bowlers are reminded that the game takes place on Tuesday, 7 March at 1.30pm for 2pm at Winkle BC.

BRIAN Cox and Cedric Kruger were overall winners of the men’s Spur 2-4-2 played on Thursday, 23 February at Winklespruit Bowling Club.

Second session winners were Ken Baker and Neville Roscoe. The 100 board was won by Lynn Fitzsimmons. The mixed trips played on Saturday, 25 February saw overall winners in Andre Gelderblom, Brian Farmer and Norma Raath. Mike and Di Kruger and Trish Farmer were second session winners. John Scott was the winner of the 100 board.

The attendance draw on Friday evening was won by Robbie Dee. Due to him not being present, it will be a carry over. Everyone present on Friday evening thoroughly enjoyed the weekly evening meal which was prepared by Trish Farmer, and the pudding by Annalie Pienaar. The club’s sincere appreciation for their continuous dedication to make these evenings a success. There will be no Friday evening meal this week.

Social bowls will be played on Wednesday and Friday afternoons, with a 2.30 for 3pm starting time.

The women’s twinkle trips will be played on Wednesday, 8 March at Winkle BC with a starting time of 8am for 8.30am. Indicate on the list on the notice board if you will be playing. The Tops men’s trips will be played on Thursday, 9 March at 8.30am for 9am. Indicate your availability for the game on the noticeboard or contact Alan Raubenheimer.

Members are to note that the Les John mixed 2-4-2 will be played on Saturday, 11 March at 8.30am for 9am. Confirm availability for the game on the list on the notice board or contact Lou Lou Bingham.

The monthly car boot sale takes place at Winklespruit Bowling Club this Saturday, 4 March.

Congratulations to Mike Kruger who celebrates his birthday this week. Prayers and thoughts are with members who are not well and they are wished a speedy recovery.
