OVERALL winners of the Winklespruit Bowling Club men’s 2-4-2 played on Thursday, 27 October were Allan Duncan and Bill Hobbs.
Second session was won by Ken Baker and Les John.
The green is progressing and members can just wait patiently for the day when they can return to their place of play, which is expected to be about four weeks.
Piet Du Toit won the attendance draw on Friday evening. Due to him not being present, it will be a carry over.
Friday evening’s meal was a success once again. The meal was very tasty and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. A big thank you to Gert and Wilma Richter and Bessie Vergottini for providing the meal and to Sandy Snyman and Elaine Critchlow for the sweets.
There will be another Friday evening meal this week. If you intend to tuck in this week, indicate your intention before Friday on the noitceboard list or call Annalie at 083-409-6357. The green, which has been closed for annual maintenance since Monday, 17 October, should re-open towards the end of November. All are welcome to enjoy the friendly atmosphere with fellow bowlers on Wednesday and Friday afternoons.
The club wishes all good bowling to all its bowlers taking part in the Doug Watson tournament at Margate over the weekend of 5 and 6 November.
Congratulations to everyone celebrating their birthdays during the week and a speedy recovery to all those who are not well.
