YWP golfers battle the wind at Toti

The snowball rolled over to R1,400 and 'predict the exact score for the Bokke' is now at a whopping R2,400 for the game against the All Blacks on Saturday.

DESPITE testing conditions, the dedicated YWP Sports Club golfers played some good golf at Toti Country Club.

The format of drawn partners playing off a scrambled drive saw Nigel and Nick winning with 73 points, closely followed by Rob ‘2nd Hand’ Bellars and William ‘Brandy man’ on 71 points.

Unfortunately the golf day was not sponsored so there were no prizes but golfers and their families all enjoyed free wors rolls and good cheer afterwards. Thanks to Clint and the YWP club for sponsoring the food. Special mention to Clive Donald Smith for making a comeback appearance. It is hoped to see everyone at Umdoni Golf Course for next month’s game on 6 November.

Other news from the YWP Sports Club is that Friday night’s meat draw winners of a lamb roast was Clint, beef roast went to Norman, the pork roast to Garry D, chicken to Terry Brown, lamb riblets to Wayne, pork rashers to Rob B, thin wors to Norman and the bottle of brandy winner was Derek R.
