ALLAN Duncan and Sylveigh Ananiadis were victorious over Mac and Joyce Mackrory in the first round of the mixed nominated 2-4-2 at Winklespruit Bowling Club.

In the first round of the womens nominated trips, Elaine Critchlow, Joyce Mackrory and Sandy Snyman beat Lou Lou Bingham, Elmarie Young and Maureen Griffin.

Estelle Van Der Merwe, Di Kruger and Sylveigh Ananiadis were the victors over Annalie Pienaar, Norma Raath and Trish Farmer.

In the women’s Kwik Spar trips played on Thursday, 1 September at Winklespruit BC, overall winners were Cathy Du Plooy, Elmarie Young and Sandy Snyman. First session winners were Marge Eriksen, Dagmaria and Gay Jutte. Second session was taken by Julie Sutherland, Amanda Ninow and Nikki Stirzaker. The 100 board winner was Basil Ananiadis. Maureen Crawford won the spider and the mystery prize winner was Wilma Richter.

Lou Lou Bingham was the winner of the attendance draw on Friday evening. It will be a carry over as she was not present. All enjoyed the Friday evening meal. Thank you to those who prepared the meal. the club extends thanks to all members who sacrificed their spare time to assist in the green maintenance on Monday morning.

Social bowls will be played on Wednesday and Friday afternoon, with the starting time of 1.45pm for 2pm.

There will be a meal available this Friday evening. Indicate your intention to attend for catering reasons, before Friday on the list on the board or call Trish on 082-483-5875.

A game of Scroungers will be played on Saturday, 10 September at Winkle BC starting at 8.30am for 9am. Indicate on the list on the notice board if you will be playing as there are only 18 slots. The monthly Clearwater Spur 2-4-2 will be played on Saturday, 17 September. Indicate your availability to play on the list on the notice board.

Members must take note of club competitions on the competition board.

Congratulations to everyone celebrating their birthdays during the week and a speedy recovery to all those who are not well. Prayers and thoughts are with everyone and especially to Piet Barnard who is not well.
