Lou Lou, Elmarie are women’s nominated 2-4-2 winners

LOU Lou Bingham and Elmarie Young were the winners for the 2016 women nominated 2-4-2 finals at Winklespruit Bowling Club, with Estelle Van Der Merwe and Di Kruger being runners-up.
The men’s monthly 2-4-2 was played on Thursday, 25 August at Winklespruit Bowling Club where overall winners were Brian Cox and Cedric Kruger.
Second session winners were Les John and Ken Baker. The 100 board winner was Eddie Bingham.
Winner of the attendance draw on Friday evening was Dries Snyman. As he was not present, it will be a carry over.
All present thoroughly enjoyed the Friday evening meal which was prepared and donated by Annalie Pienaar. Trish Farmer and Cathy Du Plooy sponsored the pudding. The delicious meal was well attended and there was more than enough for seconds. Winklespruit BC thank them for their selfless effort and generosity.
The annual AGM took place and was well attended. The new committee members are as follows: President Annalie Pienaar, vice president Brian Farmer, secretary Trish Farmer, treasurer Sylveigh Ananiadis, competition secretary Lou Lou Bingham, assistant competition secretary Alan Raubenheimer and green keeper Eddie Bingham and Innocent Ndlovu.
Overall winners of the Sunday mixed trips were Andre Gelderblom, Brian Farmer and Norma Raath. Mike Kruger, Di Kruger and Trish Farmer were the second session winners. Winner of the 100 board was Reg Behr. Brian Farmer won the spider, the proceeds of which will go towards the visually impaired bowlers.
Social bowls will be played on Wednesday and Friday afternoon, with a starting time of 1.45pm for 2pm.
A meal of wors rolls and gravy with a pudding will be available on Friday evening. Indicate if you will be partaking in the meal, for catering reasons, before Friday on the list on the board or call Trish on 082-483-5875.
The monthly women twinkle trips will be played on Wednesday, 7 September at Winklespruit BC, starting at 8.30am for 9am. Men’s trips will be played on Thursday, 8 September at 8.30am for 9am.
Members must take note of club competitions on the competition board and the notification of the subs due for 2017, which is on the notice board.
Congratulations to everyone celebrating their birthdays during the week and a speedy recovery to all those who are not well. The club’s prayers and thoughts are with everyone.
