ON Wednesday, 10 August, Amanzimtoti Tennis Club’s women’s first team beat Hillcrest 1 by four matches to two.
The second team lost to a very strong Kloof 2.
Midweek fixtures for Wednesday, 24 August are first team away to Chiltern 1 and second team away to Glenashley 2. Social players are to note that all courts will be available for social games.
In the weekend league matches on Saturday, 13 August, the firsts beat Hillcrest 2 3-1 and seconds lost to Midlands. On Saturday, 20 August both Toti women’s teams will play at home – the firsts against Durban North 1 and the seconds against Mitchell 1. Four courts will be used for league from 1.30pm to about 4pm.
The men’s team lost to Bellevue 2 on Sunday, 14 August and will play away to Mitchell 2 on Sunday, 21 August.
The club’s development clinic takes place each Saturday morning for the duration of the school term. If your child shows an interest in tennis, take them down to the club on Saturday mornings from 9am to 10am. There are racquets available for use and children must wear suitable shoes. Madi and Gabriel will be there to show the children how to play the game.
