Winkle women take second place in winter tournament

There will be social bowls on Wednesday and Friday afternoon, with the winter starting time of 1.45pm for 2pm.

OWEN Turner and Gustav Somers were the winners of the Winklespruit Bowling Club men’s Clearwater Spur 2-4-2 played on Thursday.

Second session went to Brian Farmer and Dries Snyman.

Coy Schrauwen was the 100 board winner. The Winkle women took second place in the Pam Golding women’s winter tournament. The team was made up of Cathy Du Plooy, Lulu Bingham, Sylveigh Ananiadis and Linda Hobbs.

The attendance draw was won by Lulu Bingham on Friday evening, however as she was not present it will be a carry over.

A delicious meal was provided on Friday evening. There was more than enough for seconds and it was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The club wishes good bowling to the men and women playing in the Dan Draper tournament at Wanderers Bowling Club.
