Legends plan for the future of football in Isipingo
Soccer players who played between 1960 and 1990 who played under the Isipingo District Football Association (1918) are invited to attend a legends meeting on Tuesday, 7 June
THE Isipingo Soccer Legends committee extends its appreciation and heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported the successful reunion dinner and dance.
The committee is planning many future events, the first of which is to be held in Pietermaritzburg in July, where two matches will be played against Maritzburg Soccer Legends in the over 40 and over 50 categories.
Soccer players who played between 1960 and 1990 who played under the Isipingo District Football Association (1918) are invited to attend a legends meeting on Tuesday, 7 June at 6pm at Oasis Lounge, Enchanted Gardens (old Durban airport) in order to form teams.

Light snacks and refreshments will be served.
Thereafter, the committee will launch the Vengan’s Gold Cup Legends tournament in August. The Vengan’s Gold Cup Legends tournament will include Legends of SA Federation, Southern Natal, Illovo, Amanzimtoti, Isipingo, Wentworth, Merebank, Chatsworth, Clairwood, Phoenix, Umlazi and Durban.
The Vengan Family in conjunction with Isipingo District Football Association (1918) and Legends with all Senior Citizens of Isipingo will host a Eastern & Western Cultural gala day and calls on the community to be part of this event.
The committee would appreciate the Legends’ input in preparing for the event and asks all Legends to attend the meeting to celebrate their fondest memories of Isipingo football during the difficult times, where no official or player was honoured for their participation and achievements.
The former and last president of Isipingo District Football Association together with the committee, have pleasure in recognising and honouring the Legends.
