Winkle BC men’s league team victorious

THE Friday evening meal at Winklespruit Bowling Club proved to be a great success and was enjoyed by all.
The club expresses its appreciation to Trish and Classina for the preparation of the meal and the pudding.
Special thanks go to Trish for organising the meal and for performing kitchen duties. Jeanette Els was the winner of the attendance draw on Friday. It will be a carry over as she was not present.
The second round of the men’s interclub league was played at Winklespruit Bowling Club on Saturday, 23 April. The Winklespruit teams played against Gillitts A and both teams were victorious.
The men who are playing in the men’s interclub league are to remember that round three will be played at Hillcrest Bowling Club on Saturday, 30 April at 1pm for 1.30pm. Take note that the teams are to leave for Hillcrest by 12.15pm.

There will be social bowls on Wednesday and Friday afternoons. Take note that the winter starting time for Wednesday and Friday social bowls is 1.45pm for 2pm, as from 4 May.
Members must take note of club competitions on the competition board. Take note that the monthly car boot sale will be this Saturday, 30 April. The club wishes its teams playing in the Margate tournament in the first week of May, safe travelling and good bowling.
Congratulations to everyone celebrating their birthdays during the week and a speedy recovery to all those who are not well. The club’s prayers and thoughts are with them.
