AMANZIMTOTI Tennis Club’s Tandy Cup tournament was a great success last Saturday afternoon.
Twenty two players took to the courts to do battle.
The winners were Vanessa and Richard. Well done to them. A huge thank you to all who helped make this annual event so successful.
Mixed doubles league is due to start on Saturday, 9 April. A list for members keen to play in one of the two teams is on the notice board. The fixtures will be put up as soon as these are received from ETA.
Midweek women’s league fixtures are now on the notice board, as well as a list for prospective players. Once again two teams have been entered and play commences on Wednesday, 6 April. The club’s development clinic continues to happen from 9am to 10am each Saturday morning during school terms. All youngsters who are interested in learning the game, cal see Madi and Gabriel who will be there to show them all how its done. There are some racquets available and players are asked to wear suitable shoes. As the number of children attending the clinic grows, the club appeals to members to assist with the training. It is just one hour of their time, and if they can help, just be at the club by 9am on a Saturday.
