Tennis players reminisce together
The club's Tandy Cup tournament will be played on Saturday, 12 March.
AMANZIMTOTI Tennis Club’s get-together with ex-Illovo Club tennis players on Saturday afternoon was a huge success.
Players reconnected with old friends and there were lots of stories to tell, making it a most enjoyable afternoon and evening.
A big thank you to all who assisted in manning the braai, and those who provided salads for all. To the Toti Tennis Club members who helped in many ways, it was much appreciated.
The club’s Tandy Cup tournament will be played on Saturday, 12 March. The details and a list for members to enter their names if they wish to participate is on the notice board. For prospective league players, there’s a poster with the dates of the year’s league fixtures on the notice board.
There was a tremendous turn-out of young people for the development clinic on Saturday morning. This clinic continues to happen from 9am to 10am each Saturday morning during school terms. All youngsters who are interested in learning the game can learn from Madi and Gabriel who will be there to show them all how it’s done. The club has some racquets available and players are to wear suitable shoes.
