Sign up for social summer squash league

The games commence on Monday, 18 January and will be played every Monday and Thursday evening.

ANOTHER interesting and enjoyable year has come and gone at Toti Squash Club, with the recent completion of the club champs.

Now, before the serious business of the KZN squash winter league, and to give players an opportunity to get back into shape, and to start off that new year`s resolution to get more exercise, we have the summer league 2016.

This is strictly played on a social basis, with teams made up of eight players each, differing in strength and skill, from one to eight.

Everyone, including non-club members are welcome to join in and participate, where for a mere R50 you will get the chance to play an opponent of similar strength, each week, for the duration of the tournament.

The games commence on Monday, 18 January and will be played every Monday and Thursday evening.

Go down to the club to put your names on the list, so that games and fixtures can be finalised.

Remember there is no commitment to join the club, you may play summer league only, and no matter how much of a beginner you are, you will be welcomed, and suitably accommodated in a team.

It is also an opportunity, for example, for Toti rugby players to get some pre-season cardiovascular fitness before they start the serious muscle strength business.

This year, to enhance team spirit, and to give team members a chance to get to know one another, each team will be allocated to a specific court each night, so make sure that you arrange your game with your opponent on the correct court.

The emphasis is on fun and social games. Regular members and players are encouraged to bring along a friend, neighbour or family member.

For queries, or a trial run or lesson to see where you will fit in, speak to a committee member at the club on most evenings, or call club secretary Christine on 071-606-2850.
