UK visitors set for round robin tennis social

AMANZIMTOTI Tennis Club players enjoyed good social games on Saturday afternoon.
Thank you to Alan, and his woman helpers who got together and did a long overdue Spring clean in the clubhouse and to Alan, Joe, Joan and Laurence who sorted out the net for court five.
The entry forms are now on the notice board for club championships. Provisional dates for these events to be played are 14, 21 and 28 November, depending on the number of entries.
Enter your name on the appropriate forms on the notice board should you wish to participate.
The club’s UK visitors arrive this week and preparations to entertain them are well in hand. On Saturday, 7 November there will be a social tournament with the visiting players. All players are to be at the club by 12.30pm for registration. Play will commence at 1pm. There will be one court for social players who are not participating in the round robin.
A spitbraai will take place later in the afternoon. Club members are asked to help by providing additional cutlery and outdoor chairs. The club looks forward to a memorable afternoon and evening with its guests.
The development clinic continues on Saturday mornings from 9am to 10am. Take your children down to the club for an hour of free coaching by Madi and Gabriel. There are some tennis racquets available for use and children should ideally wear suitable tennis shoes.
