Tennis club champs dates posted

We encourage all our members to participate and make this a memorable time for our overseas visitors.

THE weather was not too good for Amanzimtoti Tennis Club and the rugby gave tennis players a reason to stay home, but despite this the club still had a fair turnout for social tennis on Saturday.

Well done to those members who made the effort to go down for a game.

The entry forms are now on the notice board for club championships. Provisional dates for these events to be played are 14, 21 and 28 November, depending on the number of entries. Enter your name on the appropriate forms on the notice board should you wish to participate.

From 5 to 8 November the club hosts a group of tennis players from the UK. Members can note the details which are on the notice board. On Saturday, 7 November the club will be arranging a social tournament with the visiting players. It is important that members let the committee know whether they intend to take part. There will be a braai afterwards and members will be asked to provide salads and so on.

The club encourages all members to participate and make this a memorable time for its overseas visitors.

The development clinic continues on Saturday mornings from 9am to 10am. Take your children down to the club for an hour of free coaching by Madi and Gabriel. There are some tennis racquets available for use and children should ideally wear suitable tennis shoes.
