ON Thursday, 20 August the monthly Umkomaas mixed fours were played.
Congratulations to the Winklespruit Bowling Club team of Harry van Vuuren, Dries Snyman, Hazel Willis and Sandy Snyman on winning the overall competition.
On Friday, 21 August the afternoon’s social bowls was ended off with a delicious dinner organised by Di Kruger. Some inter-club competition play-offs were played during the week. Congratulations to Dries Snyman on going through to the next round of the men’s senior singles. Congratulations to all the other winners in their individual play-offs. The momentum of the competitions has escalated. Check the notice board and competition register and support the finals when scheduled.
On Sunday, 23 August the monthly nominated mixed trips were played. Second session winners were Andre Gelderblom, Brian Farmer and Norma Raath. Overall winners on the day were the team of Steve Evenwel, Jonty Denysen and Lynette van Vuuren. The 100 board draw was won by Di Kruger.
Diarise the following events: Social bowls on Friday, 28 August at 2pm and Wednesday, 2 September at 1.30pm. Saturday, 29 August – car boot sale at 8am.
