SUNDAY, 9 August was a day to celebrate the women in our lives and what better way than to run or walk in the Woman in Action 10km or 5km event hosted by the Chatsworth Athletic Club.

Amanzimtoti RunWalk for Life members supported this well organised event through the streets of Chatsworth.

In the 10km event, Justin Willemse was first home in 58 mins. Other members were Sandra Pratt in 1.1, Thobile Ngubane in 1.13, Annette Pretorius, Janine Williams in 1.30s and Annemarie Snyman and Anneke Joubert in 1.32.

In the 5km, RWFL’s Bianca Nawrattel was first home in 46 mins, Debbie Lombard, Daneen Slater, Liesel Nawrattel and nine-year-old Anja Nawrattel finished up in 55 mins. All finishers received a fantastic goodie bag filled with useful and interesting stuff and all members had a great morning out.
