Masters cross country athletes fly Toti AC’s flag

The event numbers were not very pleasing, way down from last season’s numbers.

THE first league event in the 2015 KZNA cross-country season was held at Laddsworth Primary School, Hilton on Saturday, 11 April.

There were a number of changes to the traditional course and the respective races were held on a course comprising of a 3km and 2km loop.

The event numbers were not very pleasing, way down from last season’s numbers. Official results and numbers have not yet been published.

Amanzimtoti Athletics Club’s numbers were also very disappointing with only two athletes entered. Both were in the grand masters category, one 65+ and the other 70+. The two athletes who kept the Toti flag flying were:

Master men age 65+: Second Cecil Clarke 30.34

Master men age 70+: First Noel Saville 32.11.

The next cross country event is league two scheduled for 25 April to be held at Queensburgh.
