THE Tandy cup tournament was played at Amanzimtoti Tennis Club on Saturday, 31 January.
Twenty two players took to the courts for an enjoyable afternoon of tennis.
Unfortunately the final could not be completed due to the rain. This match will be played on Saturday, 7 February at 3.30pm. Be there to watch the tussle for top spot.
The mixed doubles league commencement date is 14 February, so there is still time to enter your name on the list provided on the clubhouse notice board if you wish to be considered for selection. Two teams have been entered. The fixtures have been posted on the notice board. Joan is the contact for these events.
Glenashley Tennis Club is holding their Valentine tournament on Wednesday, 18 February. Details are on the notice board for interested players.
Social tennis continues on club days.
The club’s development clinic for primary school children and upwards will begin on Saturday, 7 February. If your children are keen to learn the game, take them down to Toti Tennis Club from 9am to 10am. There are some tennis racquets on loan for the hour. Ideally they should wear sports shoes. If there are tennis members who wish to help Madi with this, go on down to the courts. The assistance will be greatly appreciated.
