Isipingo soccer renaissance to be discussed at meeting

A mass meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, 11 February at the Lotus Park community hall at 6.30pm.

THE Isipingo District Football Association (ISFA) which was established in 1918 has embarked on an unification programme to bring unified soccer in Isipingo under the agency of the South African Football Association (SAFA).

The association will cater for the following divisions: Legends, those over 35’s and over 50’s, seniors and juniors under 17, under 13 and under 9.

The junior league will carry prize-giving money of R10,000 while the senior league will compete for R20,000 plus a knock-out cup of R10,000.

A mass meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, 11 February at the Lotus Park community hall at 6.30pm.

Chairman, Bimal Brijlal will address the meeting on its vision and accept affiliations.

All soccer players and ex-soccer players are encouraged to attend this historical record-braking meeting where players from the past will have an opportunity of renewing past acquaintances.

The association has an open door, progressive policy and urges any group of teams playing in isolated pockets to join them.
