Toti diamonds to shine for baseball tournament

Toti locals are encouraged to come down and support KZN.

Toti’s Hutchison Park is the venue for the upcoming inter-provincial baseball masters tournament.

The KZN Masters Baseball Association will host the tournament at the Amanzimtoti Central Sports Club from Tuesday to Saturday, 14 to 18 October.

This will see some 14 sides from all around the country competing on a daily basis and spectators can be assured of some spectacular baseball action.

“Masters caters for ages groups from over 35 years old,” said Cardinals Baseball Club scribe, Craig Dempsey, who will be in action representing his province.

Other Toti locals include Fritz Ackermann, Keith Dempsey and Ferdinand Petzer.

“The tournament will make use of the main oval, which is the Cardinals baseball field, and one diamond on the rugby field.

The tournament is played annually around the country and each province gets a turn to host. Fortunately Toti was identified as the ideal venue and months of preparation have gone into ensuring the tournament is one of the best ever experienced.”

Toti locals are encouraged to come down and support KZN. The action gets underway every day from 8am.
